50 MILE BIKE RIDE (OCT-8 2017): TRAINING PLAN UPDATE 3

  • I signed up for a 50 mile bike ride. The bike ride is Oct-8 2017.
  • Below is my training program.
  • I also lift weight each week. Here is the plan this week.
    • Deadlift, 285 pounds, 2 sets of 5 reps
      • Add 10 pounds each week
    • Standing overhead dumbbell press, 40 pounds, 3 sets to failure
      • Maintain weight each week, work to increase rep count

Sep-17 to Sep-22 (This Week)

  • 35 mile (long ride Sunday, Sep-17)
  • 10 mile
  • 10 mile

Sep-23 to Sep-29

  • 40 mile (long ride Sunday, Sep-24)
  • 10 mile
  • 10 mile

Sep-30 to Oct-6

  • 45 mile (long ride Sunday, Oct-1)
  • 10 mile
  • 10 mile

Oct-8 (Race day)

  • 50 mile
